I knocked a clean base mesh up in Maya and threw it straight into Zbrush to have some wrinkly fun. The whole purpose was to practice/improve on the sculpting and rendering side of things. I experimented with a few custom matcaps and tweeked some lights to pick up the sculpt details before setting off a few render passes to composite in photoshop. Overall Im pleased but there is a lots of room for improvement.

I wanted to have a bash at that over exagerated hard edged muscle found in ancient statues. Heres a depiction of the sea God Poseidon.

The basemesh was quickly created from Zspheres in Zbrush and tweeked in Maya, I used 3ds max's cool twist tools to achieve the tail, then sculpted and posed the mesh in Zbrush.
Software used: Maya, 3ds max, Zbrush, PS
